All right everyone, here's the low down on organic color: There is No such thing (at this time) as Organic/Natural Permanent color, unless you're using Henna which will only allow for on level or darker color change. Here's why: Any color that allows for any level of lift (going lighter) will always contain a chemical to produce a reaction to make that happen. So while there a way more gentle or less damaging color lines on the market today loaded with natural botanicals than there ever were before, none of them are 100% organic or natural. If you have had any type of allergic reaction to a color line the answer to that is usually because it contains PPD (para-phenylenediamine). A replacement for this is PTD (para-toluenediamine or 2,5-Toluenediamine) which is very similar to PPD. The difference is an extra chemical (methyl) group on the benzene ring. Most people experiencing an allergic reaction to a dye containing PPD can usually switch over to the dye containing PTD without the same allergic reaction. That said you should always consult a physician to learn more about why you're having this reaction in the first place. To anyone that came here just looking for Organic/natural color for personal reasons I'm sorry to disappoint you. That said I would be happy to speak with you about why the color line I use could be a good compromise for your needs.
